The Annual High Point Yachtfests are multinational fun sporting events to be held in October around the Mediterranean, involving non-aggresive, non-professional sailing with the focus on the social side.

They are for people who like sailing and want to meet others from a common professional background. A year's anticipation and hopes will be crowned with a week's sailing in beautiful surroundings and with fantastic entertainment. You will make new friends and look forward to meeting up again in future years.

High Point Yachtfests entail visiting different countries in the Mediterranean region, meeting their people and enjoying their history and culture. Each week is competitevely priced to suit everyone.

The regattas are directed at different professional groups (Engineering, Law, IT and Finance).  The emphasis is on making participation reasonably priced and ensuring that people have a lot of fun on and off the water.

We have started this in partnership with the team we worked with arranging the Engineers Challenge Cup in 2007 – under John Hall Hall, the Admiral of ECC (we organised this event in 2003 as well and are doing it again in 2008).  ECC has been running for 15 years and is fantastically successful (www.ecc-sailing.com). It is now at capacity (70 boats, 450 + participants) and there are more people wishing to participate than room can be found for.  High Point YachtFests will replicate the ECC style and format, but extend the experience to other professions outside Engineering.  We've got a very experienced team running this and we're sure these events are going to prove very popular. 
 
The idea is that the crew sails under a company name (of one of your crew members, ideally skipper, but not necessarily) that belongs to one of the industries mentioned.
